Designed in conjunction with the lighting specialists at Supernova, UK industry experts and Amba the Airstream brings together a combination of superior technical features together with an elegant yet rugged design to create a superb front battery light of exceptional quality.
The Supernova Terraflux Lens used in the Airstream spreads out a wide, far reaching carpet of light in front of the rider. The efficiency of the lens is so good that one can even ride a bicycle at a dimmed down setting with up to seven hours burn time.

Cooling:
Modern high power LEDs can get extremely hot without good cooling. Since their efficiency and lifespan strongly depend on the operating temperature, Supernova made cooling a top priority in all their lights. Thanks to the great passive cooling of the Airstream, a minimal amount of air movement will be enough to keep the light cool enough at room temperatures even at the highest setting.

The intelligent active cooling electronics of the Airstream recognises critical temperatures with a special heat sensor and adjusts the LED power in fine steps until the temperature has stabilized again. After the housing has cooled off, the Airstream returns to the original brightness setting automatically.  Twenty cooling fins in line with the air flow offer the best possible heat dispersal. The fins enlarge the surface of the heat dispersing part of the housing by more than 250%.

Available soon - Helmet Mount:

The new ultra light Airstream helmet mount allows the the light to be mounted onto vented helmets. The light can be adjusted horizontally and vertically without tools after installation.

The Terraflux lens is ideal for helmet mounting as it guides 90% of the light towards the ground, losing very little scattered light that shines up into the sky. The allows the Airstream to complete with other lights boasting much higher brightness values. The high mounting position allows the light to spread out especially wide to illuminate difficult trail sections optimally.
